Purpose
Artificial intelligence has become a shared infrastructure of knowledge and power. GAWI recognizes that true leadership in AI is not measured by compute or funding alone; it is measured by how responsibly those resources are used.
GAWI moves beyond traditional AI readiness rankings by introducing a new question:
Is a country not only ready to adopt AI, but worthy of shaping it for the world?
By highlighting countries that combine ethical governance with technical capability, GAWI promotes a vision of AI as a global public good.
Pillars Of Worthiness
Each country is evaluated across five dimensions, reflecting both moral authority and material capability.

Tier Classification
GAWI ranks nations into three tiers based on composite scores:
Builders (>=75): Global leaders shaping AI policy, technology, and ethics.
Deployers (55-74): Active adopters and regional innovators with growing influence.
Bystanders (<55): Emerging participants still developing foundational capacity and governance.
